Installing IOS 7.1.1 JailBreak (Video at the bottom) -

With PanGu just being released earlier today, the JailBreaking community has been on the frits. Among the hysteria, the community is divided on whether or not the Jailbreak was worth the release. Either way, 7.1.1 is now broken and available for JailBreaking.

Here are the steps for you to JailBreak your device:

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any harm that comes to your device that comes due to this process. Proceed at your own risk. This JailBreak works on any device (iPhones, iPads, iPods) running on 7.1.1 outside of Apple TV.

AS ALWAYS, BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR PHONE ON ITUNES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO JAILBREAK.

1. Download the PanGu application from here.

2. Run the application, plugging in your device.

3. Be sure to uncheck the box in the picture below (pretty much the only checked box on the program). This will keep you from installing a chinese version of AppCake that has been known to cause issues on your device.

4. Click the black box below.

5. Set your device's date and time to June 2nd, 2014 at 8:30. This can be done by going to Settings > General > Date & Time, then unchecking "Set Automatically." You then can set the time from there.

6. On your device's home page, a PanGu app should appear. At this point, click it. Be sure not to unplug your phone or computer during this time.

7. Let your device sit during this time. It should reboot a couple of times. Nothing will change on your phone other than the PanGu app will be replaced by a Cydia app.

8. Congratulations. Your device is now JailBroken. Have fun with all of the crazy stuff you have just unlocked.

FAQ:

Q: I accidentally installed the weird Chinese app. HALP!!

A: You can view a fix here.

Q: Why should I JailBreak my device?

Q: My device is doing some weird things it wasn't doing before.

A: Remember how you backed up your device at the beginning of this tutorial? You should go ahead and restore from that backup and start all over again. You did remember to backup your device... didn't you??

Q: Is this a virus/will it break my phone?

A: As far as the JailBreaking devs know, there's nothing malicious that has happened here. PanGu lists that they attended I0n1c's presentation on JailBreaking, and now all they are doing is releasing their findings to the public. If anything comes up, it will be posted on the page. However, every tweak I've tried so far has still worked and no crashing has come up on any of my devices yet. Any tweaks from previous IOS versions that don't work need to be updated, but as of right now, most all of them do.

Q: Can I set my time back now??

A: PanGu was nice enough to do that for you.
